As a traditional Chinese folk art, blowing sugar figures has a long history. But with the development of China's economy, this art is gradually declining. It is said that this folk art began in the Song Dynasty, when it was called opera candy. Sugar is used as the basic material for blowing sugar figures. Sugar artists boil sugar in their own way and then blow it into various figures. Artists first heat the sugar to a proper temperature, then pull some syrup and knead it into a ball. Then they use various techniques to make different shapes and paint them with bright colors. This art is a true combination of hand, eye, heart breathing and time control required for a certain temperature. If one technique fails, the whole process fails.

Traditional Chinese Cloth Stickers, formerly known as court embroidery, are based on traditional folk paper-cutting, embroidery, mural painting and cloth past techniques. Starting from life, local materials are used to collage cloth of different colors, textures and shapesdeepbit， through fabric sewing and fabric decoration techniques. Fabric sewing is a large-scale collage, including pasting, sewing, inlaying and splicing. Fabric decoration refers to small-area flower decoration patterns, that is, the fabric patterns are sticked, sewn, and set on a base cloth. Cloth stickers are closely related to local people's lives, such as: peasant women cut and paste tiger heads, flowers and various auspicious patterns with rags of various colors, and affix them on children's clothes and shoes; some cloth pieces are cut and past into "fish playing with lotus" and decorated on the pillows of newlyweds.

Not long ago, at the construction site of the newly built Fuzhou-Xiamen North Railway Station, with the smooth laying of the last set of 500-meter-long rails, China’s first cross-sea high-speed railway was completed. This is the world's highest speed cross-sea railway. It has crossed three bays including Meizhou Bay, Quanzhou Bay and Anhai Bay . According to information, this first cross-sea high-speed railway is expected to open in 2023. After the railway is completed and opened to public, the travel time between Fuzhou and Xiamen will be reduced to less than one hour, forming a "one-hour life circle" between the two cities.

近日，北京第二外国语学院推出了《022-2023学年度文化与传播学院宿舍检查评比制度》deepbit。学生公寓是学生学习、生活、休息的主要场所，是学生思想教育和学生自我管理的首要阵地。学校推出该制度，旨在保障学生宿舍的健康安全，营造整洁有序、温馨和谐的生活学习环境，培养学生养成健康的生活方式和良好的行为习惯，充分发挥学生公寓管理育人、服务育人、环境育人的功能和作用，创建优良的学风校风。制度中的奖励措施激励着同学们用心布置宿舍，将宿舍经营成第二个家。

又到了国家体质健康测试的时候deepbit。9月20日起，各年级的体测陆续开展。大家要慢慢开始恢复一个假期可能都没有活动的身体。感受一下运动的快乐，在阳光下挥洒汗水，在体育场上拼搏较量，养成良好的锻炼习惯，打造健康的体魄！在这期间，相信大家肯定能收获很多鼓励的声音，那是心与心的靠近，那是热血的沸腾！加油，祝大家取得好成绩。

语润甲子，言振五洲；薪火相传，奋楫笃行deepbit。北京语言大学60周年校庆典礼上，中外师生员工、海内外校友和关心北语发展的各界人士相聚线下和“云端”，共襄盛举，共叙情谊，共享喜悦，共谋新篇。各级领导、校友代表、兄弟高校代表、外交使节及北京语言大学教师代表，出席庆典大会并发表讲话与致辞，现场20多名中外学生以满腔的真情和铿锵的声音为校庆深情献词。

北京语言大学也开展了一系列丰富多彩的庆祝活动，包括六秩芳华、言睦五洲——庆祝北京语言大学建校60周年文艺晚会，大学校长论坛暨全国外语院校协作组第36届年会、第18届国际中文教育学术研讨会等，以隆重庆祝北京语言大学建校60周年deepbit。

近日，共青团北京外国语大学委员会志愿者与社会实践部举办了“北京外国语大学2022暑期社会实践” 项目答辩会deepbit。本次社会实践答辩中，各个实践团的展示都⾮常精彩：一些实践团走进乡村，体味乡土人情，通过各大网络平台展示新时代新农村面貌；有的深入了解非遗，并发挥北外语言优势，多语种宣传华夏文明；有的走进少数民族村落，情系红色土地，雁归五彩城镇；有的走到抗疫⼀线，访谈当地机构，推广优秀治理方案。经校社会实践评审小组老师的打分与讨论，共有十三支团队获奖。其中 一等奖队伍2支，二等奖队伍4支，三等奖队伍6支。在此次社会实践活动中，实践团们在各个领域贡献青春力量，以北外特色展现北外智慧，用行动给社会带来了向上向善的力量。

近日，“区域国别学视域下爱尔兰研究新趋势”学术研讨会在北京外国语大学爱尔兰研究中心举办deepbit。本次研讨会由北京外国语大学联合多所高校的爱尔兰研究中心及爱尔兰研究学术网络等学术机构共同举办。来自全国高校和学术机构的爱尔兰研究学者共同探讨了中国爱尔兰研究在文学、文化、历史、政 治、经济等领域的前沿动向和发展趋势，爱尔兰研究在人才培养、科学研究、社会服务等方面面临的机遇和挑战，并分享了各自最新的研究成果。本次学术研讨会的举办，为中国爱尔兰研究打开了新的思路，也呈现出一个全新的视⻆。

About the Chinese Spirit, my classmate Yu Zongrui has something to share with you.

Over the last two years, he had left university to join the army. Now he has returned the campus and continue his study in Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages. His station was in a Gobi Desert in Kashgar, Xinjiang, a barren plateau without human habitation, whose frequenters are just tough winds and sands. However, he has never regretted his decision to be part of the frontier force, because he know the people behind him are worth protecting. During one military exercise, his troop was in the front line. The captain ordered, “Never step back even if you die”. At that moment, he realized what he was holding, as the military oath has said, “Never betray the army, defend our nation to the death”. In his view, the Chinese Spirit is “All for the happiness and interests of the people”. This is his quest, this is his founding aspiration.

I think, to hold the people’s concerns and needs in our hearts is what the Chinese Spirit requires. If every single individual is trying to improve the living quality of others in China, we will get a more united and peaceful environment to live in, as the saying goes, “All for one and one for all”.

今天我们采访到了北京语言大学2019级优秀本科生兰天启学长，下面让我们一起听一听他的青春奋斗故事deepbit。

“青年一代有理想、有本领、有担当，国家就有前途、民族就有希望deepbit。”这是习总书记在十九大报告中对新时代青年的殷切期许，为新时代青年提供了奋斗动力，指明了前行方向，也是中国精神在新时代心中最生动的写照。2022年是一个特殊的时间节点，恰逢党的二十大与建团百年的重要时刻，迎着冬奥会、冬残奥会的东风，我的母校北京语言大学也迎来了60岁的生日。60年前，作为来华留学生认识中国的窗口，北语在党和国家的亲切关怀下成立，一代代北语青年在这片沃土上细细耕耘。作为北语学子，作为汉语国际教育专业的学子，在这个重要节点上，更要立足学校、专业中国际中文教育的优势。就像习总书记在人民大学的讲话中所说的，发挥大学、专业在融通中外文化、增进文明交流中的独特作用。肩负总书记的嘱托，激发语言内生动力，传播中国精神、中国声音、中国理论、中国思想。新时代中国青年要用脚步丈量祖国大地，用眼睛发现中国精神，用耳朵倾听人民呼声，用内心感应时代脉搏，把对祖国血浓于水、与人民同呼吸共命运的情感贯穿学业全过程、融汇在事业追求中。让世界更好读懂中国，听党话跟党走，为推动构建人类命运共同体作出积极贡献，书写我们在新时代的中国故事，中国气派，中国精神。
